Chemical Peels
We offer professional strength chemical peels suitable for all skin types. Chemical peels are performed to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. This accelerates the cell renewal process, stimulates collagen synthesis, and improves elastin fibers in the dermis, revealing a more radiant complexion. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation.
Types of Chemical Peels
Enzyme Peel
All natural enzymes safely dissolve surface skin debris and leave skin feeling soft, cleansed and refreshed. Use this product if you have sensitive skin that is non-tolerant of acid usage.
Lactic Acids (Alpha Hydroxy)
Derived from milk, milder than glycolic acid, and typically better for working on hyperpigmentation problems. Appropriate for normal, dry, or oily skin. An alpha hydroxy, this peel penetrates the epidermis-only.
Glycolic Acid (Alpha Hydroxy)
A good all-around acid for normal-oily skin types to exfoliate the skin. Stronger than lactic acids. An alpha hydroxy, this peel penetrates the epidermis-only. Designed to smooth and re-texturize mature, clogged or sun-damaged skin, this anti-aging treatment puts the emphasis on gentle exfoliation. You will experience a clearer, younger, more translucent look.
Salicylic Acid (Beta Hydroxy)
Oil soluble, thus making these acids perfect for oily/acne skin that needs deep pore cleansing and loosening of blackheads. A beta-hydroxy, this acid penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis only.
Revitalization Peel (Jessner's Type)
Based in alcohol, this is a drying peel best suited for oily, acneic skin types. Containing both alpha and beta hydroxies along with resorcinol, this peel penetrates more deeply than an alpha or beta peel, but less deeply than a TCA. Not recommended for sensitive skin. Not recommended for dry skin. Jessner's peel combines resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid for greater exfoliation of the outer layers of skin cells. This can be used to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, sun-damaged skin and acne. You may expect to experience peeling for up to 7 days after the procedure.
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)
Deeper peeling class of acids used for acne, lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and scarring. Longer lasting results and more intensive. This peel penetrates the epidermis, into the upper layers of the dermis, thus producing a more effective peeling experience. Always begin with a low strength with this particular acid.
