Beverly Sidders

Beverly Sidders, founder of The Skin Clinic of Virginia is no stranger to skin care. She became a consumer of effective skin care products, treatments and therapies in 1995. Over the next several years, she researched, studied and tried the various modalities available. Beverly’s interest in the effects of environmental pollutants on humans was evident as she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. She continued her education, obtaining an MBA from the University of California @ Berkeley.

“I became passionate about caring for my skin in 1995. After years of repetitive basking in the sun, at the age of 30, my skin looked twenty years older than my chronological age. In late 1997, I underwent CO2 laser resurfacing on my face. This was the jump start I needed to “start over” with a fresh layer of skin. I began using sunscreen everyday and continued to research ways to care for my skin.”

Beverly combined her business acumen and interest in healthcare to successfully establish a manufacturing company where she provided various medical products to the healthcare industry. Beverly’s passion for beauty of the arts, spawned an innate ability for painting, and she completed additional training at the Art Institute of San Francisco. Shortly after moving to Charlottesville, VA, Beverly earned her degree in Occupational Science: Esthetic Science, and earned a diploma in Medical Esthetics from the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics in Richmond, VA, and is a licensed Master Esthetician in the state of Virginia.

Beverly’s passion for skin care, laser resurfacing techniques and good skin care have been evident for over a decade. She believes that beauty is not a direct correlation with age and that with proper care and treatment modalities, the environmental damage to skin can be reversed or minimized. Healthy skin is the first and most important aspect of beauty.

“Each face is a canvas,” says Beverly. “I find many of the laser techniques to be similar to painting………there are certain techniques and level of attention to detail that is required to deliver safe and truly noticeable results. With skill and technique the beauty of any skin surface can be enhanced using quality products, treatments and therapies.”

Beverly’s lifelong interest in science and art has translated into interest in educating people and helping them look their best through the use of the latest products and noninvasive laser techniques. Beverly believes that when you look your best, you feel your best; and you can look your best at any age. Beverly’s goal is to provide a confidential, relaxing and safe environment for clients, with the focus being on customer care. Beverly lives in Charlottesville with her husband and two children.
